| Beschreibung: | Magnolia is seeking a full time Web UI Developer who shares our motto Simple Is Beautiful.
A great part of our success depends on the web-based Graphical User Interface (GUI) of Magnolia CMS, which makes even complex tasks intuitive. You will be joining the Magnolia core development team and help build the next generation of easy-to-use, web-based content management software. You strive in communicating openly with peers and our communities, and accept that reality comes in many shades, most of which have to do with the fact that resources are always limited and real artists ship. Responsibilities In this position, you will: * Implement the UI of Magnolia CMS based on designs that will be provided to you * Accompany the concept phase by providing technical input on the feasibility * Work on the Interaction Design of the GUI * Ensure high usability and accessibility Qualifications You are an innovative, creative UI developer with an eye for detail and accuracy. * A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field is required. * 3 or more years experience with Web-GUI development * 5 ore more years of experience with Java and Web technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc. * Must possess portfolio of original user interface design work (online portfolio preferred). * Experience in multiple phases of Web-based user interface development, including information architecture, interaction design, prototyping, and usability. * You know your way around Photoshop * Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written * A strong commitment to timelines and deliverables * The drive, enthusiasm and desire required in a highly dynamic work environment that must compete in a global technology market Team Magnolia will offer an exciting work environment to you: * We use agile development methods, e.g. the SCRUM methodology * Excel with state-of-the-art development tools like Jira, SVN, Maven 2, Hudson etc. * Get exposure to the Java and Open Source communities * Work in an international environment * Contribute to the success of one of the most technologically advanced and successful content management systems on the market today Additional Information * Local candidates only, relocation or telecommuting only available for the very best candidates (Basel, Switzerland). * No third party applications.
